C. Philip Amoils, MD is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon, a field that includes Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck medicine and surgery with subspecialization in Allergy, Sleep Disordered Breathing practicing his art in private practice since 1997.
Prior to that he was trained by some of the world’s expert Head and Neck surgeons at the University of Southern California (USC), Department of Otolaryngology, and transferred this expertise to the community of Los Angeles after completion of his studies.
Dr. Amoils is considered one of the most experienced surgeons in the world for nose and sinus surgery, and sleep-disordered breathing conditions for pediatric and adult populations and has successfully treated thousands of patients over 25 years in multiple locations over the Greater Los Angeles region.
Dr. C. Philip Amoils graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand School of Medicine in Johannesburg as the son of Arthur Ernest Amoils, Attending Surgeon of Otolaryngology at the same medical school, an ENT trained in London and Edinburgh, and the Grandson of one of the world’s leading lung specialists, Charles Hurwitz who specialized in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Dr. Amoils’s brother Steve and his wife Sandi own and manage the foremost Wellness Center in Ohio and his niece, Misha Amoils is the next generation of ENT surgeons, currently at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. C. Philip Amoils provides lectures and seminars to faculty and students alike as a guest lecturer in South Africa, Vietnam, and Germany on many occasions. It is not uncommon to find a visiting surgeon from overseas learning new expertise from Dr. Amoils and his associates.
Dr. Amoils is a passionate private pilot and wildlife photographer and has had gallery exhibitions of his craft in the past years. He is a family man with an appreciation of British humor and world history.
